Bette’s ‘Wonder-Ful’ Hulaween

Some of New York’s most familiar faces were a little less recognizable – all in the name of raising greenbacks for a greener city at Bette’s 16th annual Hulaween Gala at the Waldorf-Asoria benefiting the New York Restoration Project.

Judy Gold, the emcee of the event, dressed as Chaz Bono; Stevie Wonder, who played for nearly an hour at the end of the evening, as a skeleton pirate; Alan Cumming as a mouse; Michael Kors as a Mexican cowboy; Good Morning America’s Sam Champion as a matador; Latin popstar Thalia as a skeleton; Tony Sheldon, Will Swenson and Nick Adams as their starring roles from Bette’s Priscilla: The Queen of the desert on Broadway.

Special guests Douglas Durst, who dressed as a tree, and Benjamin F. Needell were honored for their extraordinary support of NYRP and the city’s green spaces.

Rick Bayless dressed as a skeleton while preparing a wickedly delicious meal for guests.

More than $1.9 million dollars was raised for NYRP!
